Full Moon Ritual

Rev. OakRhapsody will lead a Full Moon ritual for our Temple in the temple chatroom on IRC at 7pm, Tuesday June 17th. This month's theme is refocusing after the recent Mercury retrograde.

Exploring the Celestine Prophecy

This course, lead by Rev. Iris Crain of Our Lady of the Sacred Earth, will explore the Insights presented in the original book of the Celestine Prophecy series, help us observe coincidences in our lives, explore our pasts, observe our control dramas, and work toward true spiritual peace and enlightenment.

September Full Moon

Full moon was yet again different and unique...
we got a late start because people were enjoying conversation and it was hard for people to ground and get into ritual head-space. Once the lights were out and ritual began however, we got right to business, charged the healing cauldron as we do every month, had a short reminder of the harvest season's themes, collected the months donations, had cakes and ale, and then the guides came back to reiterate the themes on a more personal level and deal with a bit of stray energy caught in the circle that needed out...

Social time ended up at the denny's, and conversation among several turned to second degree materials and exercises and their real life and real world applications. That, and welcoming back our beloved priest Christopher from Iraq.

Feel free to join us next month...

PPD Finally Scheduled!

South Puget Sound's Pagan Pride Day

October 13th 2007 12 pm - 4 pm
The Olympia Community Center (Room B)

May. 13th, 2007

Getting ready for Summer

Well, Lustration is over, PPD is on it's way, and the BBQ is just around the corner...

But first, COFFEE!!
Next Saturday is the coffee gathering again, back to the UU church on Martin Way, 10 am to 5 pm... All day, drop on in. We're going to try and organize a pagan choir for going caroling this yule-tide, and maybe even pull off a performance at a local rehab center or mall. No guarantees on those, of course, but hey, it's worth a try.

Other than that, we're going through some changes - for those who didn't know yet, we have a new Chief Priest, for the time-being at least. Welcome to Brian as Chief Priest of Our Lady of the Sacred Earth. Brian comes to us with a diverse experience outside of Correllian practice, and those who have seen him work at Full Moons and other events knows he has been an asset to the group. We're also restructuring the advisory board to bring new energies and ideas into the group, while keeping the original vision.

Hope to see you all come out to the coffee gathering next Saturday.

What a Beautiful Day!

OK, not talking about the weather (cause today's weather isn't that great) but this new day in the life of the Temple. So much went on during the Lustration of the Ancestors that it will be impossible to relay it all, but there are several highlights I can touch on:

* The First Degree Initiations and Clerical dedications of Kimber, Kestral, Christopher, Tina, Brian, Pamela, Talin, Loralyn, and David! Congratulations all!
* The Second Degree Initiation and Clerical dedication of Rev. Isarma :)
* The Third Degree Initiation and Clerical dedication of Rev. Moonstorm Moondoggie (lol - Congratulations~!)
* The Award of the Golden Wand being given to Rev. Isarma for service to the Tradition.
* The creation of two new Orders of the Tradition headed by members of our Temple, The Order of Ares headed by Rev. Christopher, and the Order of Thanatos, headed by Rev. Isarma.
* The wonderful performance of Gaia Consort's "Gathering" by the Our Lady of the Sacred Earth dancers in full animal masks for the Lustration Ceremony which got RAVE reviews - We almost brought the house down!
* The Performance of Rev. Isarma of a beautiful original composition song for the Lustration Ceremony.
* The Temple members who were ritualists for the Lustration Ceremony.
* The stepping aside of Rev. Christopher as Chief Priest and the mantling of Rev. Brian as Chief Priest for Christopher's duration in Iraq.
* The Adoption ceremony of Rev. Jacqueline (Twin) and Corinna (ArcticSpirals) as Mother and Daughter performed by Rev. Isarma and witnessed by Rev Lewis.
* And all the wonderful, wonderful people who worked to make the event wonderful, even if just by showing up!
* The "Nod" from Rev. Lewis regarding another event next year!.................

There are no words which can express the wonder and joy this event brought us. The people were warm and genuine and in some cases eccentric, but they were all family.

This was followed by a Full Moon ceremony on Friday the 4th which was wonderful, albeit short, in which we all found animal guides for the next 6 months. We charged our healing cauldron, shared Cakes (brownie bites!) and Ale (apple juice) with one another, and in short just enjoyed each other's company before a group of us wandered over to the Lacey Applebee's for afters. The family atmosphere just continues to move, evolve, and grow in this place and space we call Our Lady of the Sacred Earth. Thank you all for being a part. Don't forget the next Coffee Orgy is located at the Lacey UU Church May 19th from 10am til 5pm...Hope to see you all there.

Humilitas

There are rare moments in a person's life where they are truly in the presence of the Gods, and aware of their place in the hierarchy of that august chorus. For me, tonight was one of those nights in spades, and I am moved to tears.

First and foremost, utmost devoted thanks go out to my most honored working partner mundanely known as Brian, who's developing connection to the Divine grows and will not be silenced. Thank you dear for allowing me the honor of being in your presence as you grow into what you are truly meant to be. Unsteady on your legs like the damned giraffe you are (grin) your progress leaps and bounds each time you allow your spirit to run. You are so much more than you suspect, and I can not thank you enough for being here at this time and sharing that growth with us. You are loved.

Next, thanks have to go out to the fabulous and utterly beautiful Amanda, who fights her inner nature of fear to stretch beyond within and without. Still somewhat awkward as you find your place in that which creates the core of this group, you continue to have faith in the process, whatever that process is, and whatever that process brings to you, with grace, determination, and silence. You have an undervalued skill and good heart, and you need it put into writing what a good person you are, so you can come back and read it. Blessings, dearest.

Widening the circle we come to the regulars which constitute the body and blood of the group, without which I would be standing in my backyard adoring the Gods silent and alone. Moonstorm, Rob and Kimber, Kestral, Tina, Kendra. You are that for which the money and energy make everything worth it. Without you, and those like you, both gone and to come, there would be no Temple. A building is not a Temple, the people who come to worship the Gods are the Temple, and the echoes of the Parthenon and Chichén Itzá praise your presence in their far flung sibling. Your willingness to step forward, for dedications, for quarter calls, shows that your path to the gods is begun, and I am most honored you walk with us.

And for those others who come to commune with us, you are blessed beyond all. For in truth we all have part of ourselves invested into the function of the Temple. You come to share in the sheer joy of the presence of the Gods. With no ulterior motive besides a yearning to commune with the Gods you come, you lend your energies, and you bless us with your presence. Gods bless you.

I stand humbled in my place within you all. You have allowed me the ability to manifest my greatest wish and hope in bringing forth the Gods and being of service to a beautiful group of people with whom I share a love of the Gods. I am forever changed by the gratitude I feel for this gift of you all, and remain most graciously at the center of this beautiful snowflake we call Our Lady of the Sacred Earth.

Marry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet Again.
In Service to the Ancestors and the Gods,
                        Isarma Silverheart

Anticipation....anticipa-a-tion...

OK, so I am an old song fan. So sue me for it.  :)

Seriously, there's only three weeks left until Lustration. A lot of our members are up to their eyeballs in planning, not the least of which is myself, but several people still made it over this weekend for a impromptu discussion on Clergy ethics and related topics. Of course with this bunch it's never a stoic conversation. Next weekend we'll have the class on Correllian Ministry and Correllian Philosophy and everyone will be good to go.

I'm so proud of this group. Build it and they will come. Wow, that has been so true, and so part of the reason I keep building, learning, growing, and loving it all. I don't want to be someone with the most followers, I want to be the one that helps the most others to their own fabulous places, and I want to be someone who builds something so that all those people have a great place to gather and enjoy each other's company and spirits. Maybe the Hokey-Pokey isn't what it's all about, THIS is...

And we'll have fun, fun, fun ...

Oh my gosh, I can not believe how much fun we had this evening at our Spaghetti feed and Dessert auction. Of course, the cheesecake was actually more passed out to everyone due to donations from some WONDERFUL members...with pieces leftover!

We introduced the Temple Membership forms and applications tonight. Worked out well, as we got quite a few members paid in full for the year, and a few are paid up for the month or two.

I continue to be astounded by the wonderful people who find their way to us, add their energies to our public circles, teach us and learn from us. Crafting night is well on it's way to being something to look forward to, full moons are scheduled on the web for the next year, and the new moon coffee orgies are very popular. We have something going on almost every week, functioning like, dare I say it, a real group. And people within the group call each other just to talk. We go to each other's houses for coffee. We pick up each other's kids,  call each other when sick, and watch out for each other. Isn't that what friends are for?

Wow! So much stuff!

I apologize for not posting more or sooner!
Things have been so busy, both in my own life (read my own journal for that) and in the groups...
We're really gearing up for this month's Full Moon, but more so for Pagan Pride Day which is coming up on the 16th... Everything seems geared to that. We're raffling off a Gaia Consort CD this weekend to make the rest of the funds needed last minute for the insurance for the park. It is going wonderfully, and I thank everyone in the community SO much for their efforts and I wish you all the greatest luck!

Chris Bingham of Gaia Consort sent them to me and included along some Suddenly Naked Bumper stickers which read "Dance Naked! Body Modesty is a Social Disease!" I love that statement, and if I didn't need to raffle these off, on would end up on my car! But alas, I'll just have to wait, or buy myself a raffle ticket and hope I win!! But anyone who loves music should go to www.gaiaconsort.com and check these guys out, their music is terrific and I am looking forward to working more with Chris on concerts and such for both PPD and Our Lady of the Sacred Earth.

Our vendors are wonderful, we've got a great selection coming, and we have lots of people coming for the parade, and workshops, and....well, you will just have to come out and see it all, won't you?

Blessings to you all, and see you soon!
Isarma :)

A wonderful Month

This month has been really great!

We had our first real time study group meeting since the re-gathering of the group, and we had some great people come out. We've had some great discussions on our temple list. And those of us who made the trip across the mountains to Eastern Washington had the most delightful time at Mystic Moon Grove Temple's Faerie Revel in Moses Lake. We look forward to the next study groups in July, and the Full Moon on the 7th, as well as social gatherings.

The weather has been beautiful, albeit a little warm for this area, and we're looking forward to more and more outdoor activities, and the new newsletter! Look for more improvements and offerings for our members, and feel free to come visit us....

Blessings!

Welcome!!

This is going to be IS the place where the Temple will post announcements and a running log of all the happenings of the group.

So, last night at our Full Moon at the Community center, we had a "Changing of the Guard" from Chief Priest Sigilt SpiritRaven over to Circle Guardian MountainSong as Sigilt prepares to leave for the heat in the big sandbox of Iraq again. We're not too worried about him, because he's been there before, so he knows how to handle himself, and he's very capable, he handles all the kids at the Temple BBQ's!

We charged our Healing Cauldron again, so that all the Reiki requests are sent to for the month, and we had a special Birthday Bash for Our Imperious leader and Arch Priest the Most Reverend Lord Don Lewis HP, complete with cake and glasses of sparkling cider! One of our friends videotaped it, and we're sending it to Don as a present, along with the card and gift we have for him. I think as much as we include him in our conversation, he must feel a part of the Temple by now, and if he ever came he would fit right in. MountainSong has him beat in the deep voice department though, and that's not easy!

Happy Birthday Don, and thanks everyone for coming out and joining us last night, it was a little chaotic, but we managed it and held...
Blessings to you all, see you next month!
Rev. Iris "Isarma" :)
